The business now known as SeattleStays began accidentally during the 2009 housing recession.  To help offset my mortgage expenses, I started renting out my own home to travelers on Airbnb, as one of the very first hosts in Seattle.  There was so much interest in my modern 3br, I basically rented myself out of my house and down-sized to live in a smaller home nearby.  I recognized this was an opportunity for me to start a specialized hospitality business.  I jumped at the opportunity to expand by acquiring other new modern 4-star Built Green homes in the Wallingford / Fremont neighborhoods.  

​During the 8 years SeattleStays has been in business, we've hosted guests near and far. We've extended our hospitality and local knowledge to guests from 102 countries.  We've also hosted guests from just down the street during remodels, insurance repairs, or medical stays.  During this time, we've learned a lot about what makes the perfect rental home.  All of our homes are furnished and appointed to be modern, comfortable, and convenient.  We've left out unnecessary clutter and knick' knacks, while keeping all the amenities and comforts a guest needs to feel at home  during their Seattle Stay.
